NDI seeks a Program Assistant – Elections and Civil Society Development to be part of the Institute’s in-country team conducting programs to support civic engagement in Afghanistan’s 2018 and 2019 elections. This work involves supporting the institutional development of domestic election observer groups, the coordination and networking among such groups, and their collaboration with government institutions and electoral bodies.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support the program team in facilitating meeting, schedule conference/events, prepare training materials, communicating with regional coordinators as well as implementing partners. Keep coordination with Administration and Finance team in relevant tasks.
Requires travel to provinces:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience;
Written communications skills;
Project management and coordination skills;
Knowledge of Google applications, PC-based word processing, database and spreadsheet applications, and e-mail technology;
Fluency in written and spoken English and Pashto/Dari.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep tracking on meetings and conference schedules and prepare needed materials and stationeries.
Preparing and communicate invitations and track the visitors arrival and departure with Sec/Ops team.
Prepare Purchase Requests (PRs), Vouchers and Reconcile the expenses of the program events with Finance team.
Assist the Finance team in disbursing per diems and travels costs.
Assist the program team to make phone calls to NDI Regional Staff and CSOs partners.
Processing program papers works and ensures day to day functions.
Receive trainings / workshops and conference materials (pre/post test, pictures, evaluation forms, sign in sheets, etc…) for analysis and recording.
Prepare and get ready needed materials including manuals, certificates, questionnaires and stationeries for training / conferences.
Assist in organizing trainings, consultations and other activities to ensure the logistical support and relevant tasks are handled in perfect manner.
Travel to the provinces when needed.
Keep coordination with Administration and Finance teams in relevant tasks.
Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Bachelor Degree preferably in Political Science or Business Administration
