About Integrity Watch Afghanistan:
IWA is an independent research and advocacy National organization.
Reconstruction Assessment Program (RECAP) is an Integrity Watch program which focuses on assessment of infrastructure and development aid projects. At RECAP, we perform independent engineering evaluations of on-going and completed infrastructure projects, operation and maintenance inspection of public facilities and impact assessment of national development projects.
RECAP works closely with an U.S. government oversight agency in Afghanistan, SIGAR, to provide independent and objective audits, inspections and reviews of Afghanistan reconstruction efforts.
Provinces to travel:
Basic knowledge of inspections, and good analytical skills

Duties & Responsibilities:
The intern will provide a wide range of support to the ReCAP in terms of technical, administrative and field tasks. The intern has to be exceedingly open to new learning, well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and programs. The intern is expected to possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Holding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Satisfactory level of written and verbal communication skills, good decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
File and retrieve documents and reference materials
Arrange and coordinate meetings
Provide assistance to the team in limited, full and follow-up inspections
Provide assistance to the field team in making site-visit schedules and preparations
Provide assistance with Inspecting site work and monitoring and report work progress
Provide preliminary assistance in report writing
Prepare invoices or other procurement and administrative documents as instructed by the supervisor, if required.

Fresh graduate with major in Mechanical Engineering
Any volunteer and internship experience is desirable.
Candidates with no work experience are preferred.
