Job Summary:

Driver is the member of Logistics Unit and reporting to the Logistics Officer. He has to perform duties as a driver in Main Office as well in the field while he is on the field mission. He has to obey the rules regulation and follow the guidelines.

Skills Description:

Auto mechanical, Defensive Driving and English Language.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 In general work in strict accordance with the manuals of the Unit and with instructions from the logistics officer
 Undertake short and long trips as assigned by the logistics officer.
 Report to the logistics officer whenever returning from trips.
 Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in proper condition at any time as described in the manual.
 Perform other duties between assignments as instructed by the logistics officer, such as washing and cleaning DACAAR vehicles etc.
 Report any irregularities immediately to the logistics officer in order to ensure necessary maintenance or repair.
 Performing as night shift driver while requested by the Logistics Officer or Head of the Unit
 Ensure that the DACAAR codes of conduct for driving is always adhered to
 Monitor all repairs which are taking place in an outside workshop as decided by the logistics officer.
 When trips are assigned, make sure proper agreement are made and fallowed - such as time for departure etc.
 Carry out daily checks that all tools of the vehicle are available and functioning.
 Ensure that the first aid kit of the vehicle is always available and that all medicine etc is present and valid.
 Ensure that the logbook of the vehicle is constantly kept updated.
 Keep the VHF hand set charged and activated. Immediate report to Logistics officer in case of any problem with the hand se.t
 Any other tasks as required and decided by the logistics officer or the head of the Logistics Unit.

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits

Education: 12th Grade.

Experience: 5 years with an Office, NGOs or UN
