Skills Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. The position of NOC OFFICER consists of providing technical assistance to computer system users, and answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. It also consists of providing assistance concerning the use of computer hardware, client network maintenance and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
2. Organizing all maintenance activities in the NOC department, including developing and coordinating the network schedule
3. Acts as a first responder to all network alarms reported by tools in the network
4. Provides remote and on-site support to the customers as per company’s standard procedure
5. Coordinates the issues with 2nd level support or Team Leader where the issues require advanced troubleshooting skills and knowledge
6. Provide timely updates to customers, internal groups and vendors via inbound/outbound calls, trouble tickets and emails.
7. Monitors customer’s link consistency and usage and reports accordingly
8. Monitors all links including PTP, PTMP, Etisalat and customers.
9. Monitors ISP’s POPs and reports the issues to Technical Manager accordingly
10. Provides technical support and guidance to the on-site technicians when dealing with customer’s issues
11. Performs LAN and WAN installations when required
12. Performs troubleshooting of LAN and WAN equipment’s
13. Work with internal groups to create reports on up time, bandwidth usage, server utilization, and other key metrics as directed.

15. Performs LAN equipment’s installations, configurations, and maintenance, such as servers, routers, switches, WAPs

Qualifications:

1. At Least Bachelor IT or Computer Science degree holders.
2. At least 3 years of experience in IT or relevant field.
3. MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
4. CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Associate)
5. Capable of utilizing hand tools and test equipment to perform work.
6. Ability to work independently and resourceful with good initiative and discipline.
7. Willing to work nights & weekends if necessary.
8. Strong Communications skills in Dari, Pashto & English (Verbal & Written)
9. Word processing and/or data entry skills.
10. Organizing and coordinating skills.
11. Strong customer relation & Ability to analyze and solve problems
12. Able to work long hours when needed.
13. Significant proven experience in comparable role within an ISP or Telecoms organization.
