Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices applied in the maintenance and repair of electric generating equipment with an emphasis on diesel electric generating equipment Carry out preventive maintenance on a regular basis
Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, power system, Spare parts installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of generators.
Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
Effectively applies industry and power tools standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
Preferably familiar or knowledge with Perkins power generators.
Prior training or maintenance experience on all generator systems.
Fixing, Repairing and installation of different damaged and out of order parts.
Make sure, all generators are regularly checked, cleaned and fixed on time.
Have a clear maintenance plan for all generators.
Make sure, all tasks are done on a proper and effective manner, avoid delays.
Accurately assess electrical generating equipment malfunctions and deficiencies in performance leading to effective repair
Conducts tests of equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and associated generating and distributing equipment
Bench checks repairable components and sub assemblies of electrical power generating equipment by using test equipment standards, load banks, and other equipment standards as may be required by technical data
Tests and calibrates required gauges, controls, and meters to assure accuracy and reliability
Investigates all alternatives to generator shortfalls and deals with problems on a priority basis
Execute preventive maintenance procedures as required to ensure equipment availability and functionality
Any other task assigned by supervisor on power related issues.

Qualifications:


At least 5 years of Mechanical Engineering.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Higher degree is preferable.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and navigate service manuals.

Ability to troubleshoot and work independently

Basic knowledge of MS Office skills (Ms. Word, Excel and Outlook)

Having work experience with sophisticated Generators is an advantage
