Under the Direct Supervision of TAPI Project Director, the Finance Officer is responsible for the functions related to the financial operations of the TAPI Office, including preparing all financial documents of project on timely basis.
Requires travel to provinces:
High command in written and spoken Dari/Pashto and English languages.
Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and QuickBooks
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop an action plan for TAPI Coordination Office Budget and Expenditure.
Prepare/manage all TAPI Coordination Office payments and allotments and ensure they are processed on time at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, and Ministry of Finance
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Statement of Expenditures;
Maintain financial records such as expenditures, travel arrangements, purchases, and delivery of equipment, supplies, and inventory;
Prepare quarterly consolidated statements of project accounts.
Ensure that all expenditures are in conformity with provisions of the project’s work plans and budgets;
Develop tables necessary for financial monitoring and for budget follow up within the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum
Process and solve problems related to staff salaries in relevant offices/ministries
Prepare all financial documents of the TAPI project on timely basis
Ensure all incoming and outgoing official letters and financial documents are recorded and filed on daily bases
Maintain proper filling system both hard and soft copies.
Prepare monthly expenses report and submit it to TAPI Coordinator
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Location:Afghanistan, Kabul
At least Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Finance or equivalent. The holder of higher degree will be having the priority for selection.
At least 4 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with additional years of experience.
