Job Summary:


Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general
Ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other
Accounting documents.
• Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Coordinate transfer of cash to the sub offices.
• Provide day to day inputs and support to the field finance officers.
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
Prepare disbursement, receipt and journal entry vouchers on the basis of approved financial documents and ensure accuracy of cost allocation to projects.

Monitor Budgets Vs expenditures using budget monitoring tools (EAR).

Enter all processed financial transactions into the system (SCALA) and ensure its accuracy before posting.

Pass monthly adjusting entries such as; adjusting program advances Vs expenditures, monthly prepaid expenses.

Maintain all finance department filling systems such as; vouchers, income/outgoing letters correspondence
and keeping update lease and staff taxation filing records.

Help in the process of currency conversion

Any other task assigned to him by his supervisor

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor degree ,familiar with international accounting standards regulations
• Knowledge and experience of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Computer literacy and knowledge of financial and accounting software applications specifically QuickBooks.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Qualified accountant with 5 years experience at supervisor/Finance manager level in multi-national corporation, working experience in big four accounting firm is preferred
• Provide support and advice to financial controller through value-added financial analysis with strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Excellent presentation skills plus fluency in English, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Motivated and hardworking, initiative and ability to work under pressure
• familiar with local income tax laws.
