Job Summary

The Admin and finance Officer will work closely with the General Education Directorate team to coordinate the inclusion of all administrative and finance activities of the program for the smoother implementation with focus on the achievement of the following results;

Duties & Responsibilities

Overall administrative activities of the GPE program in General Education Directorate: To implement the Ministry of Education’s policies and procedures for the solid implementation of the program which lead it to the transparency and accountability?


Develop and maintain effective filing system for the program documents, reports, administrative documents and other materials, according to office protocols of the program,

Organize all logistical support needed for the solid implementation of the program related events, meetings and workshops


Manage GPE documents and correspondence: Logging in of correspondence received and tracking submission of the program activities and reports, including the quarterly reports and other reporting; Proper distribution of correspondence, both internally and externally,


Photocopying of documents as required,

Coordinate delivery of documents and the maintenance of delivery confirmation, follow-up on delivery,


Identify new needs for administrative support, and recommends improvements to existing systems. Where appropriate (with direction from supervisor) make improvements to existing systems,


Ensure that the office equipment (photocopier, printers, etc) and all other equipment and furniture is maintained in operational and good condition


Booking of conference halls and meeting rooms for meetings, workshops, seminars and other related arrangements inside and outside of the office ,

Arrangement of refreshments for workshops and meetings,

Facilitate the provision of relevant logistic support to the program,

Maintain office inventory records and oversee the registration of all office equipment which is in custody of staff members.

Job Requirements


Advanced university degree in economics , business administration , or related technical field;

Candidate should be citizen of Afghanistan,

At least three years of progressively responsible work experience at the national levels in finance ,program management and reporting and related field,

At least two years of progressively responsible work experience at the national levels in program management, in a related field,
Strong mentoring and leadership skills,
Previous experience of providing training, coaching and mentoring to local counterpart staff a plus,
Fluency in English a plus,
