About Ministry of Transport (MoT):
Governmental office The Ministry of Transport (MoT) is responsible for the planning, monitoring, maintenance and development of the various transport infrastructure projects such as Roads, Bridges, Culverts, Railway and Airport in the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Therefore to enhance the capacity to strengthen its ability to deliver effective, efficient and transparent services in MPW the Human Resource Directorate wishes to recruit the following staff on contract basis from development Budget for the Ministry of Transport (MoT)
The purpose of the position is to plan, organize, and coordinate the Administrative functions for the MoPW.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The incumbent for Admin Technical Assistant is to provide operational and technical support in the administrative area of organization.
Provide technical assistance in prepare administrative plans for MoPW admin department.
Establish a coordination chain between all departments to follow and update the administrative issues and find solutions.
Ability to work independently and with team to keep a strong follow up on admin issues, high level prioritization skill is required in order to meet deadlines.
Revision of reports and correspondence accurately and make short report to high/top management.
Work closely with Admin/Operation, Finance and Accruing, Human Resource, Procurement and other reverent departments to follow and implement administrative rules.
Establish the governmental and standard correspondence system and maintain the procedure.
Establish an easy tracking and remote access filing system for MoPW admin department.
Pave way to establishing a data base system for admin department for smoothness of admin activates.
Provide technical support in order to establish a transparent and accurate attendance system for MoPW staff.
Provide technical assistance in preparing of reports for overall administrative activities (monthly, Quarterly, Annual etc.).
Must have experience in fleet management to assist the transport department in technical terms.
Organize and update project related documents.
Insure the quality of services that giving to MoPW staff and avoid the gaps.
Provide feedback on progress and updates on regular bases to his/her immediate manager.
Attend the meetings and other events related to administration under immediate manager and prepare reports, meeting minutes and disseminate to relevant bodies.
Work to gather with relevant department to provide a neat environment to MoPW staff.
Any of the duties as required by higher authorities in accordance with laws, regulations and objectives of the ministry/Procurement Directorate
Any other assignment as required by the supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
Excellent computer skills in operating MS Windows and MS Office programs required.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS project.
Proficiency in English, Dari and Pashto (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
Excellent interpersonal Skills.
Self-discipline, integrity and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
