About ZAC International :

Afghan Technical Equipment Maintenance Program (A-TEMP) MPRI supports the Afghan Technical Equipment Maintenance Program (A-TEMP) in developing a program ensuring quality trained personnel providing vehicle and equipment maintenance support to the Afghanistan National Security Forces (ANSF) authorized equipment over the specified period of performance. The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) operates an “expanding fleet” of equipment. ZAC International has received the sub-contract for staffing and recruitment management of qualified staff for the training department supported by MPRI as part of the A-TEMP for Government of Afghanistan. ZAC International is an afghan owned private company supporting MPRI (US Army Prime Contractor) in implementation of A-TEMP contract.

Job Summary:

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Deputy Director for Training (DDT) and Deputy Program Manager for Training (DPMT), the Administrative Assistant provides the overall administration and execution of varied and inter-related operational and logistical activities in the designated duty station, ensuring high quality and accuracy of work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Deputy Director for Training (DDT) and Deputy Program Manager for Training (DPMT), the Administrative Assistant provides the overall administration and execution of varied and inter-related operational and logistical activities in the designated duty station, ensuring high quality and accuracy of work.


The Administrative Assistants promotes a client, quality and results-oriented approach in:
 Implementation of operational strategies
 Provision of effective and efficient administrative support services
 Support to supply and assets management

The Administrative Assistant will also be required to interpret and translate documents from English to Dari and Dari to English. He will be responsible for filing or recording all written and telephonic communication. He will be required to live and work in Afghanistan, travel around in the country. He will be required to work closely with Afghan National Army and coalition partners.

He will be groomed to assume positions of greater responsibility within the Training Directorate and will gradually assume those responsibilities once qualified.

Impact of Results


The key results have an impact on the efficiency of the Training Directorate. Accurate analysis and presentation of information strengthens the capacity of the office and promotes the image of ZAC/MPRI as an effective contributor to the development of the country and would be an efficient support toward creating capacity in Afghan National Army and Coalition partners.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, certification in administration and experience in vehicle maintenance or supply management would be desirable.

University degree will be an added value but is not a requirement.

Proficiency in reading and writing Dari is (required) and Pashto and English is (desired), having computer skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

2-3 years of relevant experience in administration within government offices or NGOs, INGOs.
