The Admissions Officer job is a full-time job and some overtime work and travelling to the provinces may be required.
The Admissions Officer’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Must be able to multitask in a demanding work environment;
As a point of contact in the office of admissions, to attend to all queries from new and potential students in a professional manner;
To provide assistance to all newly admitted students with admission paperwork;
To provide excellent customer service; build rapport with potential students;
To ensure the front office and lobby is properly organized at all times;
Make cold calls to potential applicants of the university;
To attend to all calls from interested parties enquiring about the university;
Maintain all records of phone calls, walk-in inquires, and external activities;
Provide support pertaining to testing, and other administrative support as needed;
Conduct campus tours for potential students and parents;
Provide any logistical support during recruitment trips, and assist in proctoring of admission tests;
Conduct regional trips to assigned provinces for student recruitment purposes;
Assists admissions officers in achieving the recruitment goals for new students; and
Assists admissions officers with marketing and recruiting initiatives.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The position requires the incumbent to reside in Afghanistan
Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant training in related field
Minimum of two years related work experience
English language proficiency in writing, reading and speaking
Strong computer skills
Able to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, good problem solving abilities, and possess strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure
Trustworthy and good understanding with regards to handling sensitive materials and information
