Assist Finance Manager for overall Financial management of DACAAR programmes (WSP,RDP)
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Supervising and monitoring all operational financial matters and general accounts of programmed
â€¢ Responsible for G/L reconciliation and documentation and year-end word expenditure
â€¢ Review and check of day to day vouchers
â€¢ Review and check of vouchers and expenditures statements of programmes
â€¢ Ensure that preparation and updating of daily bookkeeping is done in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the financial manual;
â€¢ Review and checking of entries made into NVASION and report, if any entry has been wrongly entered or incorporated.
â€¢ Review and check of income Tax from salaries and social pension contribution
â€¢ Ensure the successful implementation of accounting, treasury and financial rules and regulation.
â€¢ Ensuring that funds are spent and managed according to the goals, objective and mission of DACAAR further ensure that funds are being spent according to a budgeted plan and agreement obligation that the allocation of expenditure is appropriate to the function identified for the account
â€¢ Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial reports (internal and external).
â€¢ Investigate, understand and communicate financial results and trends to programme manager and other senior management. Recommend appropriate course of action when results differ from expectation.
â€¢ Providing any information timely and accurately, as and when required by program manager and finance manager.
â€¢ Work with programmed managements and assistant finance mangers to develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and information systems, protection of DACAAR assets and financial resources.
â€¢ Coordinate with field accountant closely
â€¢ Managing funds of programmes in the most efficient and controlled manner.
â€¢ Managing multiple projects with different donors.
â€¢ Assist in development of project budget proposal.
â€¢ Providing on job trainings and assistance to finance staff in performing their tasks.
â€¢ Ensure preparation and updating of stock record and other related subsidiary record
â€¢ Substitute for assistant finance manager wherever needed
â€¢ Any other tasks and duties assigned by finance manager
University diploma or degree in finance Accounting.
