Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) began as an agency that provided licenses to companies wishing to invest in Afghanistan. AISA has now evolved into a pro-active institution on promoting and attracting investment to Afghanistan. AISA, having its main office in Kabul and regional offices in Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-i-sharif, Nangharhar, Khost, Kunduz, Paktia, Faryab and Helmand province, delivers a wide range of services to investors all over the country.
Under the direct supervision of and reporting to the IT Manager, the Database Assistant to the Manager will manage a team of up to one database Assistants where the team will grow up in future. As a member of IT team, he/she will work under the guidance of the IT Manager. The Assistant to the Manager shall manage Technical Activities, Data Entry, Reporting and a close coordination with related departments
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Develop â€œad hocâ€ Access databases to input/manage data collected through standardized forms.
â€¢ Check data entry, in particular with regard to accuracy, use of standardized spelling, etc.
â€¢ Analyse the data collected extracting general results and sectoral statistics for monthly reports and possible publications.
â€¢ Ensuring that no two companies are registered with the same names.
â€¢ Providing the information about the companies registered with AISA to all the Ministries and Donor Agencies on their request.
â€¢ Ensuring that all the dues (Income Tax, Licensing fees) have been cleared before registering another company by the same party who is already registered with AISA.
â€¢ Once the company is duly registered and stamped by the Kabul Commercial Court ensure that it is sent by documentation and Archive department to their respective provinces.
â€¢ Making the quarterly reports to the Central Bank of Afghanistan.
â€¢ Making the reports for Afghanistan Revenue Department (Ministry of Finance).
â€¢ Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
â€¢ Other related functions as prescribed.
â€¢ Bachelors Degree in IT or related filed is preferred
â€¢ Experience managing the development and maintenance of databases and MIS for large organizations.
â€¢ Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of database development, particularly in Ms Access and SQL Server, ideally also with VB and Oracle.
â€¢ Advanced knowledge of all MS Office products;
â€¢ Experience with the following technologies: Windows 95 and NT operating systems; client/server hardware and software; input/output technology, digitizing equipment, internet services and related technologies;
â€¢ Three to five years working experience.
â€¢ Good written and spoken English;
â€¢ Fluent written and spoken Dari and Pashto;
