Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the WaSH Program Manager (FEMALE Expatriate Staff) and in close collaboration with Operations Department and the Provincial Coordinator, the Assistant WaSH Program Manager will assist the implementation and monitoring of MADERA WaSH activities in Beshud II.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the program manager in the daily operations of the program.
• Represent MADERA at community meetings by providing accurate information and translating between English and Dari as required.
• Facilitate the communications between program manager and MADERA staff, both oral and written.
• Accompanying the program manager to the area of intervention to monitor both the construction (hardware) and hygiene promotion (software) work taking place.
• This list is not extensive and can evolve during the mission.

Job Requirements

• Graduated from High School;
• Ease in relationship, adaptable to remote and rural context/areas;
• Organization, highly motivated and initiative;
• Computer operating skills (Word and Excel);
• Ability to work and live in Behsud, Wardak Province (MADERA takes in charge the salary of a Muharam during all the contract of the Assistant WaSH Program Manager);
• Excellent level of English;
• Prior experience/knowledge of WaSH programs is not required but will be viewed as a bonus.
