Job Summary

Project Background:

The Justice Sector Support Program (JSSP) utilizes international and Afghan advisors to train and build capacity for Afghan officials within the Ministry of Justice, Attorney General’s Office, Supreme Court, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and other justice sector organizations. The project has over 341 local national positions, many of which are advisor positions located in Kabul and throughout the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Afghanistan Holding Group (AHG), has extensive experience working with justice sector institutions. AHG can call on a pool of 800 short-term consultants across all 34 provinces, which is critical to quickly filling vacancies and meeting technical and training needs that arise in JSSP.

Job Summary :
Nationality: Local National (LN)
Base of Operations: Kabul, Afghanistan

Directly Reports To: Section Lead

Among other duties, Backfill CMS Advisor will be responsible to assist with the implementation of Case Management System within the justice institutions. He/She will be responsible to enter criminal case information into CMS database

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the implementation of Case Management System within the justice institutions
Implement activities in embedded location
Enter criminal case information into CMS database
Draft reports about the cases after receiving permission from the member of the controlling board
Provide any report the CMS database can generate to the relevant judicial institutions he/she is assigned to upon their requests after being reviewed by SI Management
Keep updates and detailed information of the registered cases in separate excel sheet for statist
Maintain contact with the CMS coordinator or CMS management regarding urgent or important issues related to the system
Keep updates and detailed information of the registered cases in separate excel sheet for statistical and reporting use
Be willing to be based and/or travel to provinces, as needed
Report to and perform related duties or special assignments as assigned by the Section Leader
Take on other related responsibilities delegated by Section Leader

Job Requirements

Minimum five years of professional experience, preferrably with experience assisting in CMS project implementation
Must have previous experience managing data for CMS databases and drafting relevant case reports
Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, law, public administration, international development, or relevant field
Understanding of Afghan legal and court systems preferred
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with government officials at all levels
Ability to travel to provinces as needed
