Business Development Services Officer
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Oversee services and administration of the Business and provide non-financial technical assistance to the clients.
â€¢ Facilitate contacts and assist in negotiations between clients and donor organizations
â€¢ Able to develop high quality business plans and can provide business planning trainings if required.
â€¢ Able Identify technical assistance required by local businesses.
â€¢ Identify and channel technical assistance to clients in the form of top-notch consultants (national and international);
â€¢ Facilitate client access to sources of financing and marketing, legal, transport, insurance, etc;
â€¢ Provide detailed information to clients on markets, products and legal issues in relation to on-going or potential transactions;
â€¢ Generate and disseminate information of interest â€“ for example, regarding markets and business opportunities in relevant sector.
â€¢ Assist senior advisor for BDS in the identification of SME needs. The BDS will work as a team with consultants/firms and business associations to achieve the desired goal.
â€¢ Assist SMEs and business association in establishing market linkages. He/She has to work closely with the business associations and FI clients.
â€¢ Indentify key legal and regulatory constraints hindering SME growth and ensure that those issues are relayed into the activities.
â€¢ Organize training programs and seminars.
â€¢ Organize various public relations events, press-conferences, presentations to promote business development component activities.
â€¢ Strengthening institutional capacity and technical capability of FI to fulfill its mandate of promoting business development services.
â€¢ Any other task assigned by the competent authority.
â€¢ A College or Bachelor Degree.
â€¢ A minimum of two years of experience working in Kabul with the private sector;
â€¢ Fluency in verbal and written Pashto, Dari and English.
â€¢ Strong computer skills. (Microsoft Office Programs).
â€¢ Willingness to travel and work in the Provinces.
â€¢ Strong negotiating skills.
â€¢ Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and listening.
â€¢ Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
â€¢ Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player; and,
â€¢ Able to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
â€¢ Experience working in insecure and difficult environments is an advantage.
