Women for Afghan Women (WAW), Multi Location
Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is a grassroots civil society organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York. In particular, WAW works to help Afghan women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination, and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic. WAW relentlessly advocates for women’s rights and challenges the norms that underpin gender-based violence to influence attitudes and bring about change.
He/She is required to follow this job description and complete her works in the respect of the WAW rules and regulations.
Ø Daily health interview with clients.
Ø Send clients to the hospital or health center for treatment.
Ø Continue counseling of individual family members and family as a group
Ø Mediation after the integrate of clients if necessary.
Ø Detailed record keeping for each case
Ø Register cases in register book.
Ø Follow-up of cases
Ø Keeping track of school and working places.
Ø Having good relation without and discrimination with clients
Ø Escorting clients from referring agencies
Ø Draft weekly, monthly reports on each case
Other duties as needed by organization
BA Degree in Law or (Islamic Law)
3 years of Experience in Related Field
Able to work overtime on weekends or holidays required by the supervisor or program
She is required to be adaptable for larger tasks not specified in this frameworK
Fluent in Dari / Pashto and district’s local language
Ability to work under pressure
Reporting Writing Skill
Analytical Skill
Team working Skill
