FLAG International Afghanistan (FIA) is an AISA registered non-governmental organization based in Kabul. FIA provides entrepreneurs, businesses and community groups with business planning, financial instruction and career training opportunities in order to maximize their economic, social and entrepreneurial potential. FIA is also a facilitating partner under the National Solidarity Program, which provides capacity building, infrastructure improvements and technical expertise to communities throughout Afghanistan. In addition, FIA is engaged in agricultural extension training in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Information and Livestock, engaging with farming communities on new agricultural methods, tools and techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Keep track of overall payments and receipts
â€¢ To operate cash register
â€¢ stamps receipts and payments
â€¢ Filing of finance documents.
â€¢ Assist the Finance/Admin. Manager in daily office routine.
â€¢ Performing other related duties as assigned.
â€¢ Ensure contains of safe tally the cash book balance both in USD and AFN Currency.
â€¢ Assists individuals in the accurate application of their transactions, and when necessary, researches records on electronic and other available files to provide information regarding financial status
â€¢ Maintains confidentiality of organization records
â€¢ Projects currency and denomination requirements and reorders as necessary.
â€¢ prepares daily cash reports and balances the cash drawer; reconciles cash, check, and credit card receipts daily, and investigates and resolves any out-of-balance problems
â€¢ Bachelorâ€™s Degree: Preference given to Finance and Management graduates.
â€¢ Experience in and knowledge of financial/budgeting accounting and monitoring systems;
â€¢ Strong MS Office skills, (in particular Excel and Access) and Quickbooks.
â€¢ Fluency in written and spoken English;
â€¢ Strong analytical skills, resourceful nature, pro-active, maturity of judgment and behavior and excellent negotiation skills;
â€¢ Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player.
â€¢ Ability to set deadlines and manage time effectively.
â€¢ A minimum of two (2) years work experience in the finance departments of other national or international organizations. Preference given to those with a financial or management background.
