Job Summary

The role of the cashier is to handle the exchange of money between OXUS Afghanistan and its clients, supplies and staffs in an efficient and professional manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

1)Handles daily cash transaction with clients:
a)Manages the cash drawer under the supervision of the Branch Admin/Finance Officer on daily basis.
b)Makes all disbursements to and receive all reimbursements from clients on a daily basis in a highly professional and courteous manner.
c)Submits accurate cash drawer reconciliations on a daily basis to the Branch Admin/Finance Officer for approval.
d)Participates in the weekly and monthly physical cash counts.

2)Submits reports on a regular basis:
a)Products accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, cash reports, as required.
b)Participates to monthly cash reconciliations and cash request with Branch Manager and Admin/Finance Officer.

3)Participates in the institutional development of OXUS Afghanistan.
a)Participates in meetings and seminars both within the local organization, or externally, as required.
b)Assists the Admin/Finance Officer and Branch Manager for the preparation of internal and external
audits.

4)Any other duties as required by the Branch Manager in the implementations of OXUS operations

Job Requirements

a)Afghan citizen
b)Minimum High School diploma (any country);
c)Experience handling cash (business or household), experience with a Microfinance Institution preferable;
d)Fluent in Dari and English welcome but not essential
e)Computer skills in Word and/or Excel
f)Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and in a group, willing to take initiative, and energetic; Able to learn quickly
