The Cashier is responsible of initiating, managing, effective and efficient financial management for the Sub-Office in Faryab Province. The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Prepare payment vouchers prior to any payment, check and attach all supporting documents to the payment voucher.
2.See that the payment vouchers are serially numbered so that it can be cross-referred with ease
3.Maintain the Operating Cash Log (cash book) â€“ At all times, the â€œcash on handâ€ in the safe must equal the ending balance of the Operating Cash Log
4.Balance the Cash Log and count cash every day before close of business.
5.Prepare payroll of cash-for-work (CFW) laborer from the field attendance registers that will be given to you by the CFW administrator.
6.Go with the CFW Engineer to the field to pay CFW labors.
7.Make a copy of the cash book and the payment vouchers prior to transfer of original documents to Finance Manager, Mazar. File the copies of payment vouchers on a monthly basis
8.Request Hawala cash transfers two days in advance from the Finance manager, Main Office Mazar-e Sharif.
9.Carry out any other relevant duties and responsibilities requested by the Supervisor.
1.University Degree in Economics or a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
2.3 to 4 years of experience as a cashier with organizations of International repute.
3.Experience in working with USAID funded program/project will be an advantage.
4.Basic computer skills in MS Office and Internet usage
5.Fluent in the national languages, Dari and Pashto, with proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English language.
