Technical and managerial implementation of humanitarian and development project activities carried out by CADG in Nimruz Province under the guidance of Operations Manager.
â€¢ The overall context includes rehabilitation or construction of projects like roads, culverts, community buildings (e.g. schools, clinics) cleaning, repair and extension of irrigation flood protection, drainage, dykes, and river crossings.
â€¢ Coordination with the beneficiary communities especially communication with local Shura and local authorities for implementation of the projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1- Supervision of CADG operation in the field and supervising foremen, skilled and unskilled laborers.
2- Assigning foremen and laborers their jobs according to normal labor regulations.
3- Responsible for planning and reporting of projects and submitting progress reports of ongoing projects.
4- Setting daily norms of activities for workers.
5- Identifying CFW laborers in close consultation with local communities.
6- Checking attendance of daily workers according to attendance sheets.
7- Maintain good communications with local authorities in the districts to ensure their cooperation in securing project sites and consulting local communities on security issues.
8- Maintain good relations with local communities and attracting their cooperation for facilitating better project implementation.
9- Report to the Operations Manager any information obtained which may impact on CADG projects.
10- Act in a professional and appropriate manner at all times.
11- Report the quality and quantity of works of CADG projects and maintain proper engineering/technical norms.
12- Keep control of all construction materials supply by CADG (directly by logistic or by contractor).
13- Keep control and check progress of activities developed by laborers.
14- Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and best practices for workers.
15- Responsible for training his work team in safety considerations.
16- Keep control and check all sketches to be applied properly on the project site.
17-Cooperate with CADG monitoring team (M and E Supervisors) all project activities (supply, labor recruitment and technical project implementation)
18- Any other tasks assigned by immediate line manager or PM.
1. Minimum - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
2. Should have over 3 years experience in development works.
3. Good understand of field challenges.
4. Good computer skills
5. Ability to speak Dari and Pashto is a must, knowledge of Balochi and English is an asset
6. Staff management skills
7. Good written communication skills
