Job Summary

Chief Information Officer reporting to the Managing Director, this position has overall responsibility for SEAF-AGF’s information technology, management, and security and its interface with SEAF’s global IT platform and capabilities. The position allows the successful candidate to be part of the senior management team and play a major role in the company’s continued development and expansion.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the administrative and operational functions of the all information technology activities locally in Afghanistan and coordinate with SEAF’s IT personnel at Headquarters on the required interfaces with SEAF’s global systems.
• Work closely with the senior management to identify the IT requirements of the company and develop plans to improve the IT function and bring in new functionality.
• Manage the IT infrastructure and vendors and lead a team of professionals to maintain internal controls and cater to the requirements of the company’s growing business.
• Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
• Prepare enterprise objectives and budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, storage, processing, and dissemination of information.
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
• Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.

Job Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree or higher in Management, Information Systems, or Technology.
• 5-10 years in technology leadership position.
• Managed project budgets of $0.5 million or more.
• Track record of success building and integrating large projects.
• Thorough understanding of business and technology best practices.
• Demonstrated use of project and quality metrics.
• Track record of success designing and implementing enterprise wide technology projects.
• Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Solid knowledge of contemporary technology including trends, hardware, software, protocols and process.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work with all types of personalities at all levels of the organization.
