Chief Information Officer reporting to the Managing Director, this position has overall responsibility for SEAF-AGFâ€™s information technology, management, and security and its interface with SEAFâ€™s global IT platform and capabilities. The position allows the successful candidate to be part of the senior management team and play a major role in the companyâ€™s continued development and expansion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Manage the administrative and operational functions of the all information technology activities locally in Afghanistan and coordinate with SEAFâ€™s IT personnel at Headquarters on the required interfaces with SEAFâ€™s global systems.
â€¢ Work closely with the senior management to identify the IT requirements of the company and develop plans to improve the IT function and bring in new functionality.
â€¢ Manage the IT infrastructure and vendors and lead a team of professionals to maintain internal controls and cater to the requirements of the companyâ€™s growing business.
â€¢ Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
â€¢ Prepare enterprise objectives and budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, storage, processing, and dissemination of information.
â€¢ Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
â€¢ Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
â€¢ B.A. or B.S. degree or higher in Management, Information Systems, or Technology.
â€¢ 5-10 years in technology leadership position.
â€¢ Managed project budgets of $0.5 million or more.
â€¢ Track record of success building and integrating large projects.
â€¢ Thorough understanding of business and technology best practices.
â€¢ Demonstrated use of project and quality metrics.
â€¢ Track record of success designing and implementing enterprise wide technology projects.
â€¢ Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
â€¢ Solid knowledge of contemporary technology including trends, hardware, software, protocols and process.
â€¢ Strong communication skills.
â€¢ Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work with all types of personalities at all levels of the organization.
