Job Summary


To improve the quality of child health service delivery with focus on promote of Integrated Child Survival Package

Duties & Responsibilities


Support the child and adolescent health department in developing capacity building plan for all area of child health program

In close collaboration with CAH department ensure adequate and timely technical assistance is provided to provincial public health offices concerning to child health care interventions in hospital and community level

Develop plan and carry out regular field visits to make sure the planned activities in respect of child health related interventions in both hospital and community level are implemented

Coordinate efforts and work closely with PND/MoPH, FAO, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA provincial officers/offices and other UN agencies involved in the promotion of child health and child survival in the respective provinces.

Develop, prepare Protocols, guidelines and programs, technical advises in conduction of survey, evaluation and assessment to improve child health

Review data on regular basis, discuss findings and implications – give on time feedback

Participate in the taskforces and working groups pertaining to child health care improvement, as defined per the Child and Adolescence Health department work plan.

Assist in adequate and timely reporting to the Child and Adolescence Health department on progress of Child and Adolescence Health work plan.

As the technical resource person, assist in the reviewing of child health relevant proposals

Work with BPHS implementing partners to promote implementation of child health services at facility and community level

Job Requirements


To be medical doctor.

To have at least three years’ experience in the area of curative medicine, preferable in child health service with government, or UN agencies or NGOs.

Have a good computer and internet knowledge

Good command of English and local languages and strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills
