Job Summary

• Directs construction-engineering activities.
• To control and supervise construction work for industrial park.
• Project progress report to main office and close coordination with the IPDD Director.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To control the deficiency in construction of buildings and other installations; in the industrial Park.
• To participate in coordination meetings with client and discuss relevant issues.
• To register the company who pursue land for establishing industry in Industrial Park.
• Estimating cost and times scales of certain plants.
• Prepare design and map in Auto cad and also prepare technical report for required companies.
• Conducting field inspections and monitoring work in progress and assures the work meets the requirements of the plans and specifications and good work practice standards.
• Reviews and interprets project specifications and drawings.
• Determines field changes, design engineering changes, and non-conformances.
• Requests for Information (RFI) and Field Work Orders (FWO) and dispositions final resolution.
• Responsible for technical document control at the Site.
• Coordinates with the Superintendents and Subcontractors to plan construction schedules.
• Directs the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment.
• Directs the maintenance of construction engineering records for job history.
• Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented by Superintendents to assure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
• Supervises the receiving, distribution and filing of plans and specifications.
• Works with Clients resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
• Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment and those other corporate services are fully utilized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• BSC civil Engineering from recognized university with a minimum of five years of experience.
• Having technical knowledge of industrial park development and fluency in English language.
• Computer proficiency skills in AUTO CAD, Ms Office package, preferably in SAFE, SAP2000 and 3D-Max.
• Able to prepare design drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of regional profiles and previous work experience in Kandahar province is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of engineering design.
• Knowledge of engineering aspects of building construction including materials.
• Interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; ability in engineering design of large buildings.
• Communicate in English Both Orally and Written, sending e-mails and Fluency in Pashtu Is Required.
• Report writing skill.
• Analytical ability and also the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Advanced computer skills and project management skills, including management of multiple projects.
• Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Mathematics -- Using mathematics to solve problems.
• Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
