Job Summary

As a practicing engineer, the expert must be proficient in identification, analyses and resolution of problems and effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of project activities. The engineer will be responsible for civil/structural engineering including detailed design for 4.8MW Gereshk Hydro Power plant. The Expert will assist the international civil engineer in all aspects of project implementation supervision and will undertake the following:

Duties & Responsibilities

a. Plan, design and oversee the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electric and mechanical components in Boghra canal and Gereshk hydro power plant power house;
b. Assist in diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
c. Review structural assessment reports and confirm structural design of all the foundations and structures of hydro power plant including physical layouts, structural/site layouts and associated civil calculations;
d. Confirm that design package complies with applicable designs standards and all safety codes;
e. Ensure all hydro power plant commissioning protocols are planned, coordinated and duly implemented;
f. Provide on the job training (OJT) to counterpart engineer on field of expertise;
g. Provide input on the field of responsibility to inception, interim, draft final and other reports.

Job Requirements

- Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering
- At least 5 years working experience in development/rehabilitation of hydro power plants/dams.
Having Planning Skill & Implementation
Having formal communication and innovation
Having computer skills and proficiency in English
