Under the overall supervision of the Operations Manager, the Cleaner shall ensure that all areas of the AWLE office are kept clean and tidy, free from rubbish, supporting a healthy, sanitary working environment for all staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Properly clean all areas in and around the project office, including, but not limited to, offices, bathrooms, halls, stairs, windows, and balconies.
Notify the Facilities & Logistics Specialist of any issues with cleaning equipment.
Ensure all office rubbish is stored securely ready for collection.
Assist with the warehousing of deliveries to the office.
Notify the Facilities Specialist of availability to perform other duties.
Cleaners will also support the facilities team with the movement of office furniture and equipment and take responsibility for work in the grounds, cleaning steps, ensuring safe access in adverse weather, doing minor gardening tasks.
Experience working preferably with international donor-funded projects, UN agencies or INGO’s on programs in Afghanistan.
Understanding of hygiene standards.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Rudimentary knowledge of spoken English.
Punctual and reliable.
Fluent in spoken and written Dari, basic English and Pashto a plus.
