About Afghanistan Justice Sector Support Program:
The Afghanistan Justice Sector Support Program (JSSP) is a multi-pronged effort to develop and strengthen the capacity of the Afghan criminal justice sector institutions and justice professionals. JSSP is funded by the United States Department of State/Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). PAE is INL’s prime contractor responsible for implementing JSSP. Through capacity building, technical advice and direct assistance, JSSP helps the justice institutions and the justice professionals perform their respective roles in delivering fair and effective justice services to the citizens of Afghanistan. In addition to working with justice institutions, JSSP participates in a variety of projects designed to promote access to a fair and effective justice system.
JSSP is recruiting for 7 Custodian/Cleaner/Maid positions and 2 Laundry Room Operator positions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Custodian is responsible to keep assigned building interiors clean and orderly; to perform a variety of custodial and minor building maintenance duties as and performs services to include: Sweep, scrub and mop floors; strips, waxes, buffs and seals floors; vacuums and shampoos rugs; washes, dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork and shelves. Empties and cleans waste receptacles; cleans walls, fountains, windows, and restrooms. Replenishes supplies; turns out lights and locks doors and windows; reports necessary repairs. Cleans and maintains equipment and material used in work; may supervise inmates on custodial tasks. May, perform a variety of building maintenance tasks including moving furniture and equipment. Replace lights and air filters, assemble shelving, performs minor repairs. Other duties as assigned.
LAUNDRY ROOM OPERATOR
The Laundry Room Operators are responsible for laundering clothes for the employees living at the JSSP compound and performing services which shall include, but are not limited to: Ensuring the proper and safe operation of the washing and drying machines. Washing, drying and ironing of clothes. Repair and mend clothing. Order laundry detergent and fabric softeners. Ensure sanitation of laundry room and upkeep of laundry room equipment. Other duties as assigned.
Experience and qualifications to appropriately fulfill the aforementioned duties professionally and responsibly. Verifiable work history. Professional appearance and presentation; good social and communication skills.
