Job Summary:
Under the supervision of Provincial Administration/Finance Assistant, the Cleaner will be responsible to ensure that the Provincial Office (PO) premises are clean and presentable at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for fully vacuuming and cleaning all areas of the PO on a daily basis including but not limited to: sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming; emptying garbage bins, dusting wiping desks, chairs, shelves, office equipment and furniture;
- Washing and thoroughly cleaning each WC each day and ensuring that these facilities remain clean throughout the day;
- Responsible for constantly removing and washing all cups, plates and used dishes from offices and assisting the Cook to keep the kitchen clean;
- Cleaning the windows at least once a week, and more often as needed;
- Clearing snow and ice from around the PO building during winter;
- Assist with logistic activities for the PO such as moving office furniture and equipment and organising stores and stocks;
- Report on the status of stocks cleaning material to the supervisor;
Job Requirement:
- At least 1 year related work experience in an office environment preferably as a cleaner;
- Familiarity with using relevant equipment such as vacuum cleaner,
- Good spoken command of Dari and Pashto languages required;
- Must be extremely reliable, trustworthy, and a good team worker;
- Flexible in working hours.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Provincial Administration/Finance Assistant, and accountable to Provincial Manager and AREDP Senior Management
PERIOD OF ASSIGNMENT
The position is for at least 12 months and is normally expected to be extended; whereas the initial period till 31 December 2010 shall be contracted.
