Job Summary:

The Cluster Health Supervisor must have the qualification of MD doctor diploma holder and with experiences of supervisory and ability to monitor & supervise the implementation of basic package of health services in defined health facilities / cluster. He/she is also responsible to improve knowledge & practice of the medical staff through supervision & on the job training regarding the diagnosis & treatment of common diseases; she/he is responsible for the planning, organizing, implementing, supervision /monitoring of all BPHS project activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Performs supervisory and monitoring visit from Health Facilities at least 6th times/month or a visit from each supervisory area.  

 Supervise the whole activities carryout in the health facilities of related cluster.

 Ensure the diagnosis, treatment of the patient done according to the national treatment guidelines.

 Ensure that all registration & medical records system follows according to the guidelines.

 In cooperation with the project technical manager oversee the planning & implementation of BPHS in the relevant area.

 Provide on the job training to staff of health facilities to defined cluster.

 Ensure quality in projects & program through feedback mechanism.

 Provide assistance & guidance to the community mobilizes to set up locale health sura committee (LHC) in the community.

 Prepare monthly activity report and follow up action based on health facility wise/months  

 Give advice and support to the project & to the program staff in related tasks.

 Maintain close working relation with key players, MoPH, NGOs & UN agencies in the target area.

 Supports & supervise the head of the clinics in the overall running of the clinics.

 Support & supervise the doctors & ensure that the protocols are followed.

 Consultation with the head of the health facility and other medical staff on their difficult and serious cases.

 Provide job awareness and on the job training for new medical staff working in identified HFs.

 Supervise the sanitation and hygiene of the clinics, particularly the waste disposal systems.

 Report any early indication of an epidemics or public health problem.

 Ensure that drug utilization and consumption is based on the treatment guideline.

 Any other official task assigned by line supervisor and Head Quarter team.

 Performs supervisory visit from Health Facilities at least 7-10 times / month. 

 Collect, analyze and interprets the CDC data/information regularly basis.

 Coordinate and share his/her findings and recommendations with the project team.

 Assist the Health Facilities on preparing of monthly / quarterly work plan and reports, and acts as a focal point/responsible for CDC issues in the provincial level. 

 To ensure that all HF’s Labs properly staffed, equipped and supplied with the necessary lab materials timely and according to the PBHS/ Lab standards.

 Prepare and provide the regular Lab and medical supply requests on time to the main office for timely supply and furnish of HFs’ Lab rooms.

 To ensure that the all test process of lab samples are conducting with respect of IP and other lab norms.

 Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly report of project activities to M&E/HMIS senior office.

 Any other official task assigned by line supervisor and Head Quarter team.
