The Communication and Reporting Officer (CRO) will be responsible for interacting through District Liaison Officers (DLO)s with shura members on matters of interest to the ASOP in terms of provision of relevant information on the Program, especially for identification of people of political and religious influence for shura membership. The CRO will also be responsible for drafting and preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports. Among his/her main tasks will be the following:
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Coordinate with DLOs on drafting a list of potential candidates for district council membership.
o Utilizing communication linkages and skills, identify effective and influential figures as candidates for district councils.
o Facilitate communications between the council members and other influential religious and tribal leaders for considering partaking in the council discussions and membership
o Draft, prepare and submit monthly and quarterly progress reports on ASOP activities in the province, including developments on setting-up councils in selected districts, progress on conducting councils and governance capacity developing initiatives and other community development initiatives and approaches.
o Excellent ability to communicate in Pashto and Dari and good knowledge of English language.
o Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of PMU.
1. Bachelor degree in communication, social sciences, education or a closely related field. 3
2. Two to Four years of work experience in communication and public outreach.
3. Prior experience working in Kapisa province is essential. The candidate should be from Kapisa province or be residing in Kapisa province.
4. Oral and written fluency in English, Dari and Pashto
