Job Summary:

The Communication Manager is responsible for managing all internal and external communications for the company ensuring its messages are consistent.

The Communication Manager perform a variety of tasks, such as the creation and development of print and online advertising, email marketing, web site management and content development, press releases, bylines articles, white papers, corporate videos and marketing collateral, communication budget development, cost tracking and website maintenance.

Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally

Duties & Responsibilities:

Devise and implement external and internal Communications Strategy to ensure that AI communicates in a consistent, accurate, professional and prompt fashion with all stakeholders.

Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with Ministries, donors, key decision makers, departments and related organizations.

In collaboration with marketing team recommend brand development. Create clear brand messages which are promulgated across all marketing campaigns.

Manage and arrange the required meetings for Agroindust team with related departments and ministries vice versa and follow up the outcome of meeting with related Agroindust internal departments and related ministries/departments and report the result to Agroindust CEO.

Draft required letters to related governmental and non-governmental departments and follow up for outcome.

Prepare promotional materials, website contents, profiles, articles, publications, brochure, fact sheet and other communication materials as required.

Implement communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the company.

Provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to events’ management team to ensure excellent service and quality delivery of events

Prepare event plan and budget and recommend design for event.

Using a range of social media platforms (YouTube, Face book and Twitter) to promote special campaigns, events, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc. on a daily basis that include both managing online presence and creating or translating creative content for social networking sites.

Keep the track record of all the internal and external communications.

Advise on event planning to improve audience experience and ensure the communication of key messages and appropriate brand values.

Contribute to the management of media relations and media coverage to strengthen the reputation of AI.

Maintain a strong brand for the Agroindust, including impact full and fit-for-purpose publications, website, social media and merchandise.

Ensure that the Agroindust communication outputs are high standard, respond to the needs of the target audience, and are delivered within agreed budget and timelines.

Act in accordance with the objectives of the Agroindust.

Organize new and innovative ways to communicate and engage with community.

Undertake other duties that will be delegated by his/her supervisor.

Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Business Administration, Political Science, public Relations, language communication in English, Dari and Pashto, or other related field.

Master Degree in relevant filed will be preferred.

Bachelor Degree with 4 years experience and for Master Degree with 2 years experience.

Basic knowledge of website development and maintenance is required.

Excellent written and spoken Dari/Pashto.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Ability to travel throughout Afghanistan.

Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office software
