Duties & Responsibilities:

• Propose the advertising policy of MTN Afghanistan in line with the company’s objectives and marketing strategy
• Meet with all concerned parties to discuss advertising needs
• Consult with printing firm representatives on the needs of all advertising projects
• Together with those in charge of products and services define the objectives of any advertising campaign or promotion and submit them to the advertising agency
• Develop and coordinate multimedia packages letters brochures video and point of purchase displays for particular assignments
• Coordinate and follow up the execution of BTL point of purchase support items
• Develop direct mail programs
• Monitor rollout of advertising campaigns and check for success level at conclusion
• Ensure the consistency and correct execution of the advertising communication
• Define and follow the department key performance indicators
• Motivate and coach the team members
• Participate in the education of employees with regards to the products and services offered by MTN south Africa
• Participate in the education of employees with regards to the products and services offered by MTN south Africa
• Participate in building subscriber loyalty by providing necessary feedback to the concerned person
• May staff company stand or display at fairs and exhibitions
• May be referral person for questions on department communications materials
• Meet public provide general information and deal effectively with a variety of personalities and situations requiring tact judgment and poise
• Plan and implement policies and procedures programs for all areas of public relations. Evaluate existing programs, services, techniques, and procedures, and establish methods for installation of programs.
• Relate company policies and regulations to new employees through a formal orientation program as a joint effort with the human resources department
• Participate in area service and civic groups to gather information and seek support of these groups in charitable activities on behalf of the company
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of public relations principles and practices.
• Establish coordinate and maintain a quarterly service report that is informative and community minded
• Organize and establish continuing internal communications through the use of bulletin boards, employee publication, and roundtable meetings
• Gather and catalogue all media articles related to the company prepare for the Marketing Director short reports on newspaper, radio and television accounts of noteworthy items of general concern that impact company image
• Develop and maintain good media press relations media agencies, publishing houses and pres. Manage media relations TV, Press, radio and write press releases/media articles.
• Follow and control the distribution of information
• Contact the media regarding innovation programs, positive developments, employee promotions, personal achievements, retirements or other goodwill information encourage open houses and tours to exhibit positive programs.
• Develop displays and general information visual aides to promote a better understanding of company objectives perform research as a basis for recommending changes in procedure and policies
• Organize all public relations events, exhibitions, etc
• Organize press conferences and other events
• Represent the company at conferences relative to public relation activities
• Define and follow the department’s key performance indicators.
• In conjunction with the marketing director, develop input into the long-range plan of the company in relation to public relations requirements
• Motivate and coach the team members.

Job Requirement:

• University degree in Communications and Marketing
• Knowledge of communication and marketing issues
• Superior presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate proficient in word processing spreadsheets, internet and presentation software
• Fluent in English other languages a plus
• Knowledge of the Afghanistan media scene
