The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is tasked with a critical mandate; to deliver and promote sustainable and accessible health care services to the people of Afghanistan. Social and economic advancement can only be realized in a thriving and healthy society. The success of the MoPH is heavily driven in its ability to plan and use allocated resources effectively. Effective financial management is therefore critical for sustainable development and is the primary tool that translates the MoPH development strategies into noticeable outcomes or service delivery. Good governance and democratic accountability relies on transparent management of the MoPH budget. Therefore, ineffective financial management undermines the effectiveness and efficiency of development interventions and hinders the country’s progress towards improved and sustainable health care. MoPH finance directorate is going through a reform process and after reviewing the structure of finance directorates of other line ministries such as MRRD, MoE and MAIL, has proposed a new and standard structure that is approved by MoPH leadership, for this purpose MoPH needs a qualified staff as head of coordination and reporting unite, to take the responsibility of overall coordination and financial reporting of MoPH.

Prepare communication plan for the Disability and Rehabilitation Project and share with project manager and heads of Orthopaedic centres.

Established and maintained proper internal and external communication with project provincial offices.

Develop fact sheet on quarterly bases for the services provided by physical rehabilitation project based on the approved plan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare communication plan for the Disability and Rehabilitation Project and share with project manager and heads of Orthopaedic centres.

Established and maintained proper internal and external communication with project provincial offices.

Develop fact sheet on quarterly bases for the services provided by physical rehabilitation project based on the approved plan.

Develop, maintain and update the communication tools (leaflets, broachers and contact list of the stakeholders).

Collect and reference all the communication documents as required for further action.

Communicate all the project related documents and writing proposals, letters and requests with relevant project staff and departments.

Submitting requests, letters and proposals of the physical rehabilitation centres on time to Central Project Office/ project manager.

Ensure access to information for disable people organization, public and government on the progress and achievements in the physical rehabilitation sector.

Publications of regular newsletters and directory of physical rehabilitation services.

Create and maintained excellent communication with central project office.

Preparation of regular analytical summative progress reports on monthly, quarterly and annual bases to Central Disability and Rehabilitation Project office and public relation office as required.

Calling meetings with regards to projects issues and note the minutes.

Assisting the provincial project team as per their request in due time.

Any other duty at the service of the project, as requested by his/her line manager/ project manager.

At least one year experience in office administration and one year in communication.
