PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The USAID Office of Transition Initiative (OTI) funded Community Cohesion Initiative (CCI) is one of three principal stabilization programs in the USAID/Afghanistan Stabilization Unit. Through CCI, USAID OTI seeks to improve stability in areas vulnerable to insurgent exploitation in order to create an enabling environment for sustainable peace and traditional development programs by (1) strengthening ties between and among local actors, customary governance structures, and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) and (2) empowering community-based resiliencies to mitigate sources of instability.

Job Summary:

The Communications Associate will be a part of the Communications team supporting marketing, project support and corporate communications requirements within a dynamic, growing company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities
 Produce multi-media video products.
 Conceptualize, produce, and edit promotional multimedia products and training tools such as digital videos, video and audio web streaming and DVD authoring.
 Develop ideas for innovative marketing products, journalistic uses of video, training and narrating the Creative story from abroad for clients and stakeholder audiences using the latest media applications.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
 Provide services as required in line with summary set forth above and company's strategic plan.
 Some travel will be necessary to film video abroad.

Job Requirement:

Required Skills and Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Film or Electronic Arts. Master’ degree in same acceptable;
 At least 2 years experience required in video editing and videography, video streaming, file compression, conversion and embedding media for presentations and the web;
 Proficient using Macintosh and PC-based platforms and software tools, including Adobe Fireworks, Adobe AfterEffects, Final Cut Studio - DVD Studio Pro, LiveType and Cleaner 6 (all of which may be concurrent and can be achieved through academic coursework or work experience;
 Strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills;
 Sharp eye for photography;
 Research and report with accuracy
