Job Summary:

Community Mobilizer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Community Social Worker is responsible for facilitating the training required, prior to the election process and conducting the election of the Agriculture Shura members;

• The Community Social Worker will arrange community meetings, schedule appointments with community members and assume responsibility for all training components, as per the FIA operational requirements;

• The Community Social Worker will be responsible for resolving any community disputes concerning sub-project choice and implementation;

• The Community Social Worker will understand the importance of sustainable development and promote this concept among the community members through the dissemination of information and active participation in the Agriculture Shura development process;

• The Community Social Worker is responsible for training the Agriculture Shuras in recording the minutes of their meetings between community members and FIA personnel and project record keeping. The Community Social Worker is responsible to build the capacity of the Agriculture Shuras in organizational matters and overall community development;

• The Community Social Worker will provide the requisite training to Agriculture Shuras to ensure that sub-projects are prioritized in order of importance;

• The Community Social Worker will submit monthly activities reports to the respective district manager according to FIA’s department reporting format;

Job Requirement:

• 12th class Graduate
• Fluency in verbal and written Pashto, Dari and English
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in the Community field.
• Good Computer Skills
• Willingness to travel and work in the provinces;
• Experience working in rural development;
• Experience/familiarity with agricultural activities;
• Motivated, hardworking, creative innovative and a strong team player; and
• Able to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
