ïƒ˜ Regular follow up , monitoring and supervision of social work staff activities particularly female
ïƒ˜ Linkage between the project and children, their families and the community
ïƒ˜ Motivation of children to participate in the project activities
ïƒ˜ Follow-up of children absent from educational activities (in their place of origin, communities) at children family.
ïƒ˜ Collection of information regarding working children (visit of working locations in communities if any, families, and child protection committees consisted of community women.
ïƒ˜ Maintain individual record of children, families working with and of Self Help Groups
ïƒ˜ Family visit and family support on regular bases
ïƒ˜ Implementing session of sensitization about child rights for the children, parents, mullahs, local authorities, community elders, and in collaboration and prior approval of his/her line manager
ïƒ˜ Looking for vulnerable families in the areas
ïƒ˜ To ensure conducting meetings with community elders etc by female/male social workers
ïƒ˜ Good coordination with all staff in particular with referral officers and protection officers
ïƒ˜ Making good relation with local authorities shorahs and NGOs working in the area
ïƒ˜ Conducting CRC, CP and CSA workshops in communities and state schools of the areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Child Protection Policy
â€¢ Commit to respect the Tdh Child Protection Policy
â€¢ To respect UNCRC and principles of child protection mentioned in UNCRC
â€¢ Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Child Protection Policy in Afghanistan
â€¢ Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Child Protection Policy
Main duties and responsibilities:
â€¢ Represent Tdh on the field, with professionalism, honesty and commitment
â€¢ Identify and act upon risks and protection issues associated with local communities, particularly those identified as the most vulnerable.
â€¢ Supervise the Community Mobilisers in their daily activities in particularly the female.
â€¢ Meets with Community Mobiliser on a regular basis to provide support and direction in their daily work
â€¢ Organise a planning with each Community Mobiliser of their daily tasks
â€¢ Develops and implements team building activities on a regular basis.
â€¢ Identifies staff training needs and works in collaboration with the Social worker and CMC to implement continuing education opportunities
â€¢ Contributes topics for group discussions with community members in the Torkham area
â€¢ Encourage the communityâ€™s involvement in the project, ensuring that priority is given to self-help responses and community self-developed support mechanisms.
Under the supervision of the CMC:
â€¢ Assist in the maintenance of records on the children population and settlement in the area.
â€¢ Supervise surveys and data collection.
â€¢ Coordinate and monitor sub-child protection committee service activities implemented by Tdh.
â€¢ Identify, coordinate and/or collaborate with other service providers in order to reinforce information sharing and provision in the area (CRC awareness, Drug Awareness, Health, Hygiene promotion, and child protection etc.) through the ad hoc Committees and built knowledge.
â€¢ Collaborate and share information with all partners at field level
â€¢ Monitor and report on all issues related to child protection
â€¢ Monitor and report on all issues related to targeted vulnerable groups
â€¢ Supervise the identification process and assistance to EVI by the Community Mobilisers following Tdh criteria.
â€¢ The Self Help Groups supervision in its up date record.
â€¢ Define the strategy in consultation to encourage participation and for all community membersâ€™ voices to be heard in decisions relating to their personal circumstances and community.
â€¢ Collect and correct the daily reports given by the Community Mobilisers
â€¢ Report vulnerable or children â€˜at riskâ€™ and/or in need to community mobilizer Coordinator or child protection departmentâ€¦
High School or Diploma degree in social study with at least two years experience in the field of social working
â€¢ At least two years experience or worked in relevant organization as social working
â€¢ To have enough experience in social work department
â€¢ It is important for a social worker to have certain qualities and skills when working with street and working children and their families.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities
1. Sufficient experience of working with local communities in upgrading local development projects at community level.
2. Prior knowledge and experience of the process of CDC and CAP formation at local level.
3. Good understanding of Afghan society, their tradition, culture and values.
4. Appropriate level of Computer knowledge is highly desirable.
5. Fluency in local languages and should be able to communicate in simple English. Excellent oral communication and presentation skills in local languages are required.
