Job Summary

The Computer Science Instructor will work under the direct supervision of the Director, and in close collaboration with the Head of Computer Science Department of Ariana Institute to achieving the following key results:

Duties & Responsibilities

Summary of key functions:
• Lecturing computer related subjects (Hardware and Software).
• Writing Lesson Plan and teaching according to that.
• Developing and maintaining a folio of appropriate teaching materials.
• Giving assignments and checking.
• Developing and using teaching and learning methodologies to meet students' needs.
• Assessing the performance of students and evaluating on a regular basis the effectiveness of teaching using a variety of methods including consultation with students, peers and section supervisors;
• Classroom Management;
• Perform any other tasks and responsibilities as required for the students;
• Reports on a regular basis to the director of the institute;
• Demonstrates integrity by modeling the Ariana Institute values and ethical standards;
• Promotes the vision, mandate, and strategic goals of AIHS;
• Displays, gender, religion, race and age sensitivity and adaptability;
• Treats all people fairly without favouritism.
• Shares knowledge and experience and provides helpful advice to others.

Job Requirements

• Ability to provide quality trainings in computer (Hardware and Software);
• Ability to review training materials and identify any discrepancies and report it;
• Good knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office;
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Focuses on results for the trainees and responds positively to feedback;
• Consistently approaches the work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude;
• Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities;
• Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills;
• Remains calm, in control and good humored even under pressure;
• Proven networking, team-building, organizational and communication skills.
• University graduate with at least three years of relevant work experience or Master Degree with two years relevant work experience.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. The candidate should be fully conversant in Pashto and Dari, and be able to explain to trainees in Pashto and Dari if needed.
