Job Summary:

Be actively involved in the implementation of Construction and Rehabilitation related activities; technical aspects, drawings, design, project costing and close supervision of the works for the KCT, according to MSF protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities:

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Actively be involved in the development and follow up of Construction drawings including architectural, engineering, and work specifications for the KCT according to MSF standards as defined by the Mission Construction Referents

 Performs technical assessment and provides recommendations, advice and support to the project teams in his/her field of expertise

 Support during tender processes and contract follow up (including drawings, bill of quantities, terms of reference etc. for all Construction, Rehabilitation related works

 Support in the management & Follow up of the timeline of activities (daily management and site supervision) in his/her field of expertise

 Participate in the quality control and implementation for all Construction/Rehabilitation works

 Participate in the development of maintenance strategies and all Construction related policies; monitor and follow up the implementation in the projects (seasonal timeline, technical specifications for material etc.)

 Ensure compliance to the Mission policies, procedures, protocols in his/her field of expertise

 Assist in the project management / site supervision (schedule management, quality control, and others) when applicable/required

 Participate actively in the training activities for the construction supervisors/technicians in the project

 Ensure the use of quality construction material for all the KCT projects, as they are defined by the Mission Construction Referents

 Perform hands on tasks as part of the team whenever required or needed in order to optimize the resources and to contribute with his/her knowledge and experience

 Participate in weekly and monthly reports according to guidelines

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

- Essential: University degree in Construction

- Essential: Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Essential: Proficient user of AutoCAD drawing program

- Asset: Diploma in Civil engineering

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction activities related to Construction advised, and site supervision essential

- MSF or NGO experience desirable

Languages

- Dari/Pashtu oral and written essential, English oral and written essential

WORKING HOURS AND SALARY

Full Time 40 hours a week: 5 days a week

Salary: The gross salary for this position is 51,200 AFN (non-negotiable)
