Skills Description:

·        At least 3 years work experience in administration and logistic with World Bank funded projects or international donors projects;

·        Demonstrated abilities to take initiative, build consensus and make things happen;

·        Ability to build strong relationships with clients and external stockholders.

·        Good interpersonal skills and communication skills;

Good spoken English with writing skills as well as Pashto and Dari, and knowledge of using basic computer programs (Ms. Word and Ms. Excel and accounting data

Duties & Responsibilities


The main duties and responsibilities of Logistic Assistant is, to undertake /assist in daily function of Project Management Unit (PMU) as follows;


·        Assist in delivery of procured items to the implementation sites

·        Logistic support of site offices.

·        Condonation and cooperation with store keeper in order to keeping records of all logistic stocks and store/stock in a sensitive manner.

·        Processing M7 (Delivery receipt, Stock receipt) within MoIC

·        Liaising with MoIC Administrative / Logistic department

·        Registration of vehicle and generator old spare parts with the coordination of MoIC

·        Participating in shopping committees

·        Close condonation/cooperation with procurement assistant and admin assistant 

·        Take meeting minutes, organize and distribute minutes as required.

·        Assist staff in the arrangement of official travels and missions.

·        Draft official emails and correspondence and other admin tasks as assigned by admin manager.

·        Keeping track of the transport log-book for the office vehicles both in the Kabul and in the sites, and follow up with drivers on transport related issues.

·        Oversee maintenance of vehicle.

·        Ensure an orderly transport system and schedule for the office;

·        Ensuring proper maintenance of filing system;

·        Drafting Letters for site delivery and getting approval from MoIC Authorities

·        Facilitation with Supplier / Contractors in order to safe delivery

·        Ensure materials are handled in a business sensitive and confidential manner;

·        Preparing inventory lists;

·        Maintain meeting and project activity calendar.

·        Maintain Generator Logbook and services record.

·        Perform any other official duties as required

 

Reporting obligation:

·     The Logistic Assistant report to Procurement Specialist and Project Director as his/her direct supervisor.

·     Required Travel to Logar Province 30 %

Qualifications:

Qualification and Experience:

·        Minimum (Bachelor Degree) in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or Financial Management, Public Administration or other related fields,

·        At least 3 years work experience in administration and logistic with World Bank funded projects or international donors projects;

·        Demonstrated abilities to take initiative, build consensus and make things happen;

·        Ability to build strong relationships with clients and external stockholders.

·        Good interpersonal skills and communication skills;

·        Good spoken English with writing skills as well as Pashto and Dari, and knowledge of using basic computer programs (Ms. Word and Ms. Excel and accounting data bases);
