STATE CORPS (SC) is an Engineering and construction firm registered with U.S Government , AISA (Afghanistan Investment Support Agency) & ACCI (Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Industries) .The company has experience of implementing huge construction and power projects in Afghanistan and Middle East. SC is actively working in Afghanistan since last one decade and has proven performance record of executing large projects.
The incumbent will work under direct supervision of Contracts Manager and will be responsible for performing following duties and responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identifying requests for quotes (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs).
Prepare documents for requests for quotes (RFQs), requests for proposals
Assist the manager in developing proposals, and negotiating specifications and terms and conditions.
Compile and maintain a list or database of all mission contacts relevant to the business
Support the office by providing useful information on local market conditions, identifying service providers and build contacts for possible future partnerships
Communicate and build contacts with suppliers, clients, contractors, partners, etc.
Develop and maintain complete and accurate file documentation for the contracts
Develop and implement systems for internal control that would ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, in collaboration with Project Managers.
Make recommendations for payments upon review of reports and comments from the Project Managers
Negotiate the contract terms with bid winners and selected contractors in the best manner achieving the best interest.
Monitor and analyze contract performance against agreed benchmarks and through agreed reporting mechanisms. Advise Project Managers on any potential issues and recommend remedial actions or solutions.
Negotiate, within the terms and conditions of the contract, solutions to conflicts/problems arising in case of poor performance or non-compliance with contractual obligations.
Frequently convene meetings with contractors to allow ample opportunity for the identification and early resolution of potential disputes.
In coordination with Project Manager conduct activities required by the contract including logistical support, accreditation, licensing, verification of goods, monitoring of activities and performance of the subcontractors.
Develop appropriate contract management tools, Guidelines and Manuals for standardization and knowledge sharing purposes.
Clearance with Finance department according to the rules and Regulation of finance
Perform any other tasks as required to support the activity of the mission, in co-operation with the Manager
Establish and maintain sound working relationships with management, agency stakeholders, external providers and within a team environment
Perform other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree in BBA
Minimum 3 Years’ experience in Contract Management.
Must have experience working in construction industry and energy industry , having experience in construction, transmission line, substation and electrical distribution projects candidate will be preferred;
Must be comfortable working with executive management as well as articulating strategy, solutions and services
Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of market trends, industry participants, new technologies & business models
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Having good will and be committed to perform daily assignments in order to achieve and obtain expected results.
Proven track record of update contractors with its task.
Excellent documentation skill.
Self-discipline, integrity and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Excellent computer literacy skills in MS Office (Word and Excel).
Fluent in English language
