Job Summary:

The Children Support Center (CSC) Manager has the responsibilities and authorities to oversee and manage the program and operation activities effectively and efficiently in close coordination with Deputy Country Director and Head of Operation in Kabul province. She/he is also responsible to coordinate the program activities with relevant Provincial Detention Canters in according to CSC Standard Operating Procedure (SoP).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all program activities and implementation in according to program proposal, budget and donor agency contract and compliance.
  •  Develop quarterly and monthly program progress narrative reports.
  • Develop monthly detailed work plan
  • Monitor day to day program and operation activities and service provide to the children
  • Provide program monthly updates and work plan to Head of Program.
  • Identify and address program and operation problems and challenges in according to organizational policies and procedures, MoUs, Code of Conduct and CSC -SoP.  
  • Provide guidance and coaching support to CSC staff to provide quality services for the children and meet the program objectives.
  •  Organize capacity building training workshops to the staff.
  • Trains and arranges trainings to build staff capacity.
  • Ensure that the children case files and documents are up-to-date and organized in appropriate manner.
  • Ensure narrative and financial reports are accurate and submitted to head office on time.
  • Ensure children health, nutrition, and education psychological and psychosocial requirement addressed in an appropriate and effective manner.
  • Explore and arrange outside recreational programs for children to meet the children emotional and psychological needs.
  • Identify and communicate key advocacy issues on the areas of children rights and protection.
  • Coordinate the program activities with INGO/NGOs, CBOs, CSO and government zonal detention centers.
  • Arranges counseling and children caring awareness and capacity building sessions for mothers living in the prisons in the central region.
  • Ensure children meet their mothers living in the prisons in according to SoP document and promote healthy mother/child relationships.
  • Facilitate children enrollment to the supporting center and reintegration with their families. 
  • Performs other work as needed

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in social science or any other relevant field.

·        5 years work experience with child focused NGOs/INGOS

·         Strong knowledge of project cycle management

·         Excellent troubleshooting skill
