MTN Afghanistan is the subsidiary company of MTN Group operating in 22 countries with a subscriber base of over 200 Millions. MTN provides GSM services in Afghanistan. We are looking for qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position(s).

Job Summary

Core purpose of the Job : 

• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.

• Manage database access.

• Performance tuning of database systems.

• Manage the Backup of all the Database Systems.

• Create/Manage the Database DR sites.

• Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.

• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.

• Be available for on-call support as needed.

• Identify and create test data needed for functional, regression, automation

• Manage and maintain the entire Data of the company.

• Must guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally.

• Ensuring the security of company data.

• Support Product development team by finding the best solution of managing the data.

• Install, upgrade and manage Application servers holding company applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks: 

• Install/Configure/Manage Database Systems.

• Maintain/Tune the performance of all the Databases.

• Develop processes for optimizing database security.

• Set and maintain database standards.

• Manage database access.

• Performance tuning of database systems.

• Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.

• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.

• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.

• Create automation for repeating database tasks.

• Be available for on-call support as needed.

• Identify and create test data needed for functional, regression, automation

• Manage and maintain the entire Data of the company.

• Must guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally.

• Informing end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize systems

• Ensuring the security of company data.

• Support Product development team by finding the best solution of managing the data.

• Install, upgrade and manage Application servers holding company applications.

Job Requirements

Education:  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a reputable university of Afghanistan or abroad 

Experience:  

• 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Telecom Industry 

Trainings:  

• Oracle Database Administration.

• Oracle SQL & PLSQL

• Linux Administration

• Weblogic Administration

• SQL Server Administration

• Oracle OBIEE Administration
