Tetra Tech ARD a US-based international development firm is implementing a USAID funded project; Kabul City Initiative Project (KCI) in Kabul-Afghanistan. The objectives of this project will be to create effective, responsive, democratic, transparent, accountable, municipal governance in Kabul City. KCI is supporting Kabul Municipality, which consists of a central administration and 22 administrative districts. Tetra Tech ARD will support Kabul City to increase institutional capacity, provide resources that allow Kabul City to deliver visible services, improve infrastructure, and increase city revenues.

Job Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk/Translator reports to the HR and Admin Director. Her/his role is to Enter project Data, analyze data and prepare reports effectively and efficiently in support of KCI operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Oversee the timely and accurate input of data
• Conduct regular and routine data quality checks to ensure data are accurately entered.
• Produce regular reports based on management and reporting needs
• Cross check the baseline data and ensure their accuracy.
• Data entry and sorting out as well as recording keeping of data.
• Ensure that all data is entered into the administrative databases in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain the filing systems required to keep data collection records in an organized manner, if needed
• Ensure that all records are complete for future review as required.
• Keep both soft and hard copy of entered data
• Provide Dari/Pashto/English translation make sure all translation are accurate
• Provide translation facility for KCI employees.
• Familiarity with Access Data bases, Excel spreadsheets and highly computer literate
• Any other duty assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications

Education: At least high school graduate, college educated in preferable

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years experience in an equivalent position with International organizations. Work experienced in USAID funded project is a plus.
Language Excellent Language proficiency in spoken and written Dari, Pashto and English is a requirement

Communication Listen to others, interpreting correctly messages and responding appropriately; pose questions for clarification, and exhibit interest in having two-way communication.

Other Skills Identification, organization, and execution of priority activities and assignments with minimal direct supervision, adjusting priorities as required

Allocation of appropriate amount of time and resources for the completion of assigned tasks

Ability to work collaborative with colleagues at all levels to achieve project goals

Tactfulness, Enthusiasm to the job. Good Human Relation skills, integrity and ability to work under pressure.
