Mine Action Coordination Center of Afghanistan, Multi Location
Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Information Officer, the Data Preparation and Input Assistant will be responsible for all assigned tasks to the Data Preparation and Input Supervisor as follows:
• Receiving and entering all IMSMA reports from AMACs and implementing partners.
• Responsible to verify all IMSMA field reports before entering to IMSMA for reliability of information.
• Report to Data Preparation and Input Supervisor for any data in-consistencies and required corrective action.
• Scanning all the hard copy reports and maps received with IMSMA field report and saved on IMSMA server.
• Verify all coordinates on the GIS after entering to make sure that the new entered Hazards or Process located in correct area.
• Review and verify ongoing tasks and report the status to Data Preparation and Input Supervisor.
• Ensure data processing of field reports in time and provide regular feedback to the direct supervisor.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Prepare list of field reports that has been received and list of reports that have been entered to IMSMA.
• Establish a good relation with the all MACCA and implementing partner staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Secondary Diploma required, or relevant certificate with 2 years additional experience.
• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Good experience related to the field of Information Management.
• Knowledge of computers including: MS Office, ArcGIS.
• Good working knowledge of the Information Management System
• Advanced technical skills related to EDP hardware and software is desirable.
• Excellent working knowledge of both written and spoken English, and local languages (Pashto and Dari).
