Data Verification and Output Assistant
Under the direction of the Information Officer, the IMSMA Data Verification and Output Assistant is responsible for all assigned tasks to the Data Verification and Output Supervisor as follows:
• Receiving and verifying IMSMA reports from Data Preparation and Input Section and move them to archiving folder.
• Responsible for cross checking reports entered into IMSMA by Data Preparation and Input Section.
• Verify all the field reports that have been entered to IMSMA and link all the attachments.
• Report to Data Verification and Output Supervisor any data in-consistencies and corrective action required.
• Verify all coordinates on the GIS and make sure that the new entered Hazards or Process located in correct area.
• Receive technical direction to update IMSMA from IMSMA Officer.
• Ensure accuracy of data processing of all the reports and provide regular feedback to his direct supervisor.
• Prepare weekly checklist of data verification control and archive on the server.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by his/her supervisor.
• Archive all field report in digital filing system on IMSMA server for all IMSMA Reports received from data input unit after verification.
• Prepare and design statistic reports on IMSMA data whenever requested by other offices.
• Establish a good relation with the all MACCA and implementer partner staffs.
• Diploma in the relevant field; or high school graduate with 4 years of relevant experience.
• 2-4 years of experience related to the field of Information Management.
• Certificates in computer hardware and software programs are desirable.
• Knowledge of computers including: MS Office, ArcGIS.
• Good working knowledge of the Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA).
• Advanced technical skills related to EDP hardware and software is desirable.
• Excellent working knowledge of both written and spoken English, and local languages (Pashto and Dari).
• Ability to work independently while under pressure and during long hours – must be flexible and adaptable to any situation.
• Posses excellent work habits with a willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Courteous and excellent communication and inter personal relation skills.
