Job Summary:

Assist the Database Administrator in Installing, implementing, maintaining, tuning, diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing and training others on database administration. Maintain full technical knowledge of installed databases Systems.
Relatively high level of analytical ability is required in order to find solutions to difficult human, technical, or administrative problems. Very frequently working independently; chances for errors are significant. Good organizational and time management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Perform database installations, upgrades and configuration;
•Participate in periodic exercises to validate backup and recovery procedures;
•Perform maintenance, monitoring and tuning of the database Systems/CBS and other Modules database;
•Monitor production data processes, performance and database capacity issues;
•Perform the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases;
•Administer and monitor database security;
•Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures/manuals;
•Assist in troubleshooting problems with the databases, applications and development tools;
•Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects;
•Assist in ad hoc projects, assignments and responsibilities as necessary and Participation in rotating off hours, weekend and contingency site coverage.

Job Requirement:

•Knowledge and Experience of Oracle 11g and Redhat Linux;
•At least 2 years experience in the same field, preferably in a Bank;
•Ability to work till late hours;
•Positive attitude towards working in a team and helping other people;
•Proficiency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
