The Job Purpose:
The Database Developer works under the direct supervision of Chief of Administration where he will be overall responsible for the creation of databases, designing, technical facilitation of databases, modification/changes and improvements required in databases, technical training support in order to familiar the employees with newly created online database.
The Database Officer will perform the following functions:
Design and Develop online databases for HR, Finance, Logistics, Administration departments based on requirements
Should have full knowledge of MySQL, Postgres SQL and Oracle
Knowledge of programming languages
Securing data of relevant database based and bringing improvements and changes in relevant databases upon necessity
Usage and training to the relevant staff regarding developed database
The Database Officer will be a self-starter to prepare all databases slowly & gradually
Provide technical assistance to all departments related to databases
Ensure data accuracy, quality and integrity in databases
Design stable, reliable and effective databases
Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
Gather user requirements and identify new features
Develop technical Demos for staff
Provide data management support to users
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
Any other task assigned by supervisor

Bachelor in Computer Science, Masters/M.SC is preferred, Being online certified in MySQL, SQL and Oracle will be a plus
At least 3-4 years relevant & progressive practical experience, in Software design and development, Database development and programming.
Experience in managing the development and maintenance of software applications and MIS for larger organizations
Proven work experience as a Database developer
In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
Excellent analytical and organization skills
An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
