Job Summary

ARAZI is looking for a qualified national Database Officer who can design, develop and administrate a contract database of high
efficiency and security.
Working in the Contract Unit of Land Lease Directorate, the Database Officer is tasked with the
development and modification of database, data entry and gen eration of contract reports.
The incumbent will report to the Contract Manager on regular and on ad hoc basis. He/she will liaise with the related
units/departments of Arazi in order to collect and disseminate necessary information

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
- The Database officer will b e responsible for:
- Designing the database
- Managing the database

Main Tasks
- Designing and Managing the database
- Consulting with the Contract Manager, other staff of ARAZI in order to understand the database requirements
- Developing the database, interface, acc ess level and reporting formats.
- Regularly updating the database, printing the reports and making back-ups
- Modifying the database as and when required

Job Requirements

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer application or special courses certificate in database administration

Professional experience

- Minimum of 5 years work experience in general IT and database administration

Technical skills
- Data Administration

Language Knowledge
- Dari, Pashto, English

Computer Science
- SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Access, hardware / hardware maintenance, trouble shooting

Personal Qualities
- Rigorous, meticulous
- Time management skills
- Trustworthy, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure
