Job Summary

Assist the Chief Credit Officer in handling of overall credit activities of the credit department and developing of credit strategies for the business development of the bank.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.In collaboration with CCO creates appropriate standards for setting credit limits; develop effective lending strategies for the bank’s business.
2.Lead interactions with key customers; focus on a high level of customer service to drive successful outcomes.
3.Supervise credit representatives; monitor the day to day functioning of credit officers.
4.Identifies opportunities of development in the market, liaise and work extensively with internal related bodies to develop strategies and product range in order to comply with clients need.
5.Assist the CCO in monitoring, handling and approving process of credit applications.
6.In collaboration with CCO maintain and update all procedures related to the activities of the credit management.
7.Review and establishment of appropriate levels of credit for customers within established limits to permit maximum credit volume with appropriate levels of risk.
8.Manage and develop team through monitoring, setting challenges, goals and holding accountability to meet bank’s objectives.
9.Represent the department in the absence of CCO in the meetings, seminars etc.

Job Requirements

•At least Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably in finance or accounting.
•2 to 3 years of experience in commercial credit, credit analysis, lending and collections.
•Thorough knowledge of commercial lending products.
•Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
•Having good communication skills both oral and written in Dari, Pashto and English.
