At present, it is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Deputy EDP Coordinator at its National Program Office Kabul – Afghanistan
Job Summary:
To support Market Development Programme’s operational activities at the NPO
• Lead research and scoping studies for various Market Development (MD) initiatives undertaken by Kabul and the provincial MD team
• Lead market potential analysis and facilitate to link products of AKF supported entrepreneurs between Kabul and regional markets
• Coordinate the sector’s gender component activities
• Coordinate the sector’s office administration activities at the NPO
• Coordinate collection of baseline information and data activities for the development of formal business plans
• Assess the quality and ensure that internal and community / beneficiaries capacity building activities in the regions are conducted accordingly
• Provide technical supervision of provincial women enterprise development officers/facilitators
• Support the sector management in liaising and maintaining good relationship with potential funders, donors and banks.
• Support the senior MD program team in Kabul in organising workshops, training events etc, providing logistics and translation support for the events
• Ensure timely collection and compilation of periodic sector report from the regions.
• Travel to the Provinces to meet with Enterprise teams
• Contributions and presentations to workshops
• Travel for R and D purposes
• Any other tasks relevant to the core responsibilities and duties of this position as assigned by the supervisor
